A
Designated Driver Program
Shawnee
Hills, southern Illinois - The five members of the Shawnee
Hills Wine Trail have recently partnered with the Illinois
Department of Transportation - Division of Traffic Safety,
the Pepsi Cola Company - Marion, and the Jackson County Health
Department to formulate the Designated Driver Program for
the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail. The Shawnee Hills Wine Trail
wineries would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone
that they may sample wines on the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail,
but to do so responsibly.
The
five wineries of the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail are offering
free sodas, donated by the Pepsi Cola Company, to designated
drivers on the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail. Ask for a button
at any of the wineries to identify yourself to other patrons
and the employees of other wineries that you are the designated
driver for your group. This qualifies you for a free soda
at each winery.
The
Designated Driver: can save lives, can still take in the beauty
of the surroundings, smell the grapes, laugh and enjoy a free
soda or bottle of water, can save something priceless…
a friend's life! The Shawnee Hills Wine Trail: Good Wines,
Good Times. Please plan ahead. Take your turn, be a designated
driver.
