Relax with family and friends and enjoy a fantastic afternoon on the trail with award-winning Illinois wines. You can even start your holiday shopping early with great gifts along the trail. Avoid the long lines and crowds in town and find a gift for that hard to shop for person right here on the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail. Let the knowledgeable staff along the trail direct you towards a great bottle of wine, gift basket or gift card for friends, family, colleagues or yourself.

Each winery participates in our Holiday Open House event in a different way. Some have live music, appetizers and different sales throughout the weekend.

Wine & Whiskers Benefit – Save Them All Animal Rescue: November 1-30, 2024

Each of our member wineries will be collecting goods for a local animal shelter. We are proud to support our local rescues in their tireless efforts to save pets’ lives. Save Them all Animal Rescue (STAAR) plays a vital role in our community as they continuously work to reunite pets with their owners, shelter those in need and find new homes for animals that are lost or without a permanent home.

November 1st – 30th, we encourage you to bring a donation, to any of our member wineries, of dry or wet dog/cat food, durable dog/cat toys, milk bones (s/m/lg) or simply a cash donation to support these wonderful people in their cause. After all, one cannot live on wine alone… they also need a pet.

Leave your donation with our winery teams along with your name and phone number. We’ll enter you into a drawing for tickets to our next Wine & Food Pairing Weekend: Cheese-Not a Solo Act in March 2025.
